Step 1

  • 2 cups oats
  • 7 medjoul dates
  • 3 tbsp maca powder
  • 1 tsp speculoos spice (alternatively mixture of cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg)
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Step 2

  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup dried morello cherries
  • 4 tbsp coconut oil
  • 6 tbsp Sweet Freedom Fruit Syrup


  1. Step 1 - Pop all the step 1 ingredients into your food processor and whizz until finely ground.
  2. Step 2 - Add the rest of the ingredients to the processor and whizz briefly until just combined so as to keep cherries in big pieces.
  3. Roll heaped tablespoons of the mixture into balls.
  4. Store in an airtight container for a few days or freeze if you want to make a large batch to keep.
