serves 20 balls

150 minutes

  • 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup ground almonds
  • 1/2 cup dairy free dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup goji berries
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 2 tbsp flax seeds
  • 4 dates (stones removed)
  • 1/4 cup shellled pistachio nuts
  • 1/4 cup shelled macadamia nuts
  • 2 tbsp Sweet Freedom Choc Shake Caramel

  • 1/2 cup nut butter (peanut and almond work well but any should work)
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened almond milk

  1. Place 1 cup (100g) of oats in a bowl and whizz to a quite fine powder.
  2. Tip into a large bowl with the remaining 1/2 cup (50g) of un-ground oats, ground almonds, chocolate chips, flax seeds, chia seeds, goji berries and whizz.
  3. Tip in the dates, both nuts and whizz until quite finely chopped.
  4. Squeeze in the Sweet Freedom Choc Shake Caramel, add the nut butter and whizz again until incorporated.
  5. Add the almond milk and give a final whizz to mix it through.
  6. Tip this into the bowl of dry ingredients and stir until well combined.
  7. Take small pieces and shape with your hands - the size of the ball is up to you, then place in the fridge for a couple of hours to set.
  8. Store balls in a lidded container in the fridge.
