  • 50g plant based milk
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 190g self raising flour
  • 60g oat flour
  • 1 tsp bicarbonate soda
  • 150g unsweetened apple sauce / apple puree ⁠(or mashed bananas)
  • 60g melted plant based butter
  • 50g Sweet Freedom VANILLA SYRUP


  1. Preheat oven to 170C. ⁠
  2. Line a loaf tin.⁠
  3. Combine the plant based milk and vinegar in a bowl, set aside to curdle.⁠
  4. Sift the dry ingredients together in a larger bowl. ⁠
  5. Add the apple sauce, butter and VANILLA SYRUP to the milk mixture, stir to combine.
  6. Add the wet mixture to dry ingredients, mix well then ⁠pour into your loaf tin.
  7. Bake for approximately 30 minutes, or until well risen, a skewer comes out clean and it's golden on top.
  8. Serve with an extra drizzle of VANILLA SYRUP.
